Position Title:

• Golden Horseshoe/History Bowl Coordinator

• Responsible for the organization and administration of all Golden Horseshoe/History Bowl activities
• Receive and prepare for the administration of the State Golden Horseshoe test
• Prepare students for History Bowl competitions and accompany students to all competitions.
• Inform and work in cooperation with principals and teachers to set dates and participation requirements
• Organize transportation and supervision of students for county and out-of-county activities
• Do pre and post publicity for all activities
• Order prizes and awards
• Work in cooperation with state and other activity coordinators
• Complete all activities related to the administration of the Golden Horseshoe/History Bowl as directed by the superintendent.

• Experience with conducting or organizing Golden Horseshoe/History Bowl activities preferred.
• Has met satisfactory evaluations in previous evaluations and can present evidence of such.
• Written and verbal communication skills.
• Can present evidence of the ability to process paperwork in a timely manner and organize events.
• Must be a professional employee of the Monroe County Board of Education
