Under general supervision at the full-performance level, these positions drive an agency-owned bus or truck between four- and eight-tons gross vehicle weight (GVW) to transport persons, supplies and/or equipment to a predetermined destination. These positions may be responsible for routine maintenance and repair of vehicle(s) and basic record keeping duties. Perform related work as required. These positions have some latitude for the exercise of independent judgment. As a maintenance worker you will be expected to be on call one week out of five. It is your responsibility to make sure your shift is covered. If you cannot be available, it is up to you to find someone to cover your time. Pre-maintenance that is assigned to you is to be performed without delay and thoroughly weather weekly, monthly, or any other time frame. Facility work orders are to be completed on a timely manner and are the responsibility equally of the entire maintenance department. Breaks are to be held at specified times. All maintenance staffs normal hours of operations are from 0700-1500 hours Monday- Friday. Overtime is to be pre-approved through the Building and Grounds Manager.
