Position Summary

Edgewood Summit is seeking a professional, organized, and customer-focused Administrative Assistant to provide administrative and clerical support to ensure the efficient operation of our senior living community. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, compassionate, and committed to providing exceptional service to residents, families, visitors, and team members.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Greet residents, families, visitors, and vendors in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls, emails, and other communications.
  • Perform general administrative duties including filing, copying, scanning, data entry, and document preparation.
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and confidential resident and employee information.
  • Schedule meetings, appointments, and community events as needed.
  • Assist department managers with correspondence, reports, and special projects.
  • Process incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries.
  • Order and maintain office supplies and equipment.
  • Support resident move-in and move-out documentation and administrative processes.
  • Coordinate with various departments to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception and office area.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Experience in healthcare, senior living, or hospitality is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional appearance and customer-service-oriented attitude.

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent organizational and recordkeeping skills.
  • Ability to interact compassionately and respectfully with older adults and their families.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
  • Occasionally lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
  • Frequent use of computers, telephones, and other office equipment.
  • Manual dexterity required for typing and handling office materials.
