About the Candidate/RoleTradewind Aviation is looking for a Level 3 Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Aircraft Mechanic to work out of our base location in the Northeast, out of White Plains, NY. The A&P Mechanic will use their troubleshooting, diagnostic, and mechanical skills to maintain, inspect, and overhaul aircraft engines, complex systems, and structural airframe components. The ideal A&P Aircraft Mechanic is detail-oriented, has strong and diverse troubleshooting and mechanical skills, is always safety-conscious, and enjoys continuously learning and improving their skills as well as sharing their knowledge with others. Must be flexible with work schedules as business needs require and be able to work on weekends and holidays.Essential FunctionsSenior-level licensed technician on first shift, capable of handling more complex maintenance tasks independently.Perform all airframe and powerplant scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on our fleet of turboprop aircraft to ensure operational reliability and on-time completionContinuously adhere to and ensure all work performed meets all Company safe work practices, FAA safety standards, and applicable operational regulationsRead, interpret, apply and perform technical manual instructionsTroubleshoot electrical, mechanical and hydraulic system malfunctions using industry standard methods and diagnostic equipmentPerform detailed inspections of aircraftRemove worn or defective parts and install new or repaired componentsMaintain precise records and logs of all maintenance work performed, adhering to FAA regulationsPerform maintenance and repairs on hangar equipmentAbility to arrive and be ready to work on time.Perform other assigned duties as assignedRequirementsRequired Qualifications5+ Years as an A&P Mechanic.Experience with diagnosing, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing all Pilatus PC-12's required.Ability to read and interpret technical manual information, and apply and perform technical instructionsClear and professional verbal and written communication skillsValid US Driver's License + Clean Driving RecordValid passport without travel restrictionsEagerness to learn and willingness to train.Maintain an adequate personal set of tools.Must be willing and able to travel to various parts of the United States, Caribbean, and Canada for periods of days to weeks as required for training, repairs or other business needs.Must successfully pass all required pre-employment screenings, including DOT and criminal background checks, in accordance with company policy and applicable regulations.Physical RequirementsBrief or prolonged periods of various physical stamina and dexterity as repair assignments require, including stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, twist, push, pull, grip, pinchMust be able to lift 75lbsWork in confined spacesWork under pressure including but not limited to multiple urgent priorities, unanticipated complications or delays, and meeting deadlinesWork may be performed in a maintenance hangar with the door open or closed, or outdoors on a tarmac, with exposure to all seasonal weather elements of varying heat, cold, wind and precipitationPotential exposure to environmental factors such as aircraft and exhaust fumesTradewind Aviation offers a competitive pay and benefits program for full-time team membersComprehensive health and voluntary insurance plansRetirement plan with company matchPaid time offStandby travel on select Tradewind Aviation scheduled flightsDiscounted standby travel benefits on numerous major and regional US and international airlinesA rewarding career path with opportunities for growth and advancement throughout the organizationPay Range$25.00 - $50.00 per hour based on experience#J-18808-Ljbffr
