POSITION TITLE: Technician I, SanitationREPORTING TO: Sanitation SupervisorLOCATION: St. Albans, VTAbout The RoleThe Technician I, Sanitation is responsible for all cleaning activities necessary for the cleanliness throughout the manufacturing facility and office areas.Shift HoursMonday - Friday 5:45am - 2:15pm or Monday - Friday 4 hour days (Part time)Key ResponsibilitiesObserve all safety, sanitation, GMP and HACCP requirementsResponsible for cleaning all aspects of the factory including but not limited to interior and some exterior areas, washrooms, restrooms, common areas and office areasAssist in structural cleaning; rotationOperate floor scrubbersParticipate in Blood borne Pathogens, chemical and glass cleanup programsParticipate in daily exercise activities at the beginning of each shiftResponsible for food and employee safety as well as meeting all regulatory requirements for bothAssist Level 2 sanitation techAbout YouHigh school diploma or equivalencyBasic math; weights & measurements, requiredReading & comprehension skills, requiredGood verbal, written and oral communication, requiredMinimum of one (1) year experience working in a food-manufacturing environment, a plusFlexible work schedule for audits, line downtime, cleaning high risk areas during productionAbility to work independently and self‑directed, requiredMust be able to use scissor lift daily, requiredMust be able to use a variety of cleaning products, detergents, sanitizers, water & food items, requiredAbility to stand on concrete floor for long periods of timeBend, squat, stretch and reach frequentlyAbility to climb stairs, oftenMust be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs, oftenComfortable working at heightsMust be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and temperatures in the facilityNoise level can exceed 0.85 decibelsWhat You Can Expect From Barry CallebautCompetitive salary and comprehensive benefits package12 paid holidays, generous PTO, plus your birthday offMaternity and Paternity BenefitsEnvironment that welcomes workplace flexibilityAn atmosphere where diversity is embraced, and inclusivity is second nature.
