Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required | 36 or 48-Hour Contract Options Available

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to adult medical and surgical patients, including those receiving oncology, palliative care, and urology treatment
• Perform telemetry monitoring and respond appropriately to cardiac rhythm changes
• Administer blood products, manage PCA pumps, and perform central line draws and port access
• Assist with bone marrow aspirations and manage Pleurx chest tubes
• Provide family education related to oncological processes and palliative care
• Float within scope of practice to other units as needed to meet facility staffing needs

Required Qualifications

• Active WV or Compact RN License (pending license accepted for submission)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• ONS or ONCC certification required (strong candidates without oncology experience will be considered)
• Proficiency with central line draws, port access, blood administration, PCA pumps, and Pleurx chest tubes
• Experience with Cerner electronic health record system

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Chemotherapy administration experience
• Prior oncology nursing background
• Experience in a Level IV Trauma Center or major teaching hospital setting
