The selected teammate will ensure the success of the team by safely performing preventative and corrective maintenance on steel mill equipment and systems. During construction, maintenance electricians will help build the mill and create our computerized maintenance management system to ensure proper design criteria and equipment reliability.Propose and implement innovative solutions to challenges in the steel making process with a focus on safety, reliability, quality, costs, and project management.Perform mechanical troubleshooting and periodic maintenance on equipment.Demonstrate the ability to understand mechanical and electrical schematics.Demonstrate knowledge of hydraulics/pneumatics, centralized lubrication systems, alignments, power transmission, and pumps/piping.Train teammates on new equipment and/or modifications to existing equipment.Have the ability to work weekends, holidays, rotating shifts, scheduled and unscheduled overtime.Nucor Steel West Virginia's greenfield project is a new state‑of‑the‑art sheet steel mill that will produce up to 3 million tons per year once fully operational. This advanced manufacturing facility is located in Mason County, along the Ohio River in close proximity to both Huntington and Charleston, WV.Pay: $111,935.72 to $142,890.80. The range varies based on experience and includes a variable incentive during construction and a potential annual profit‑sharing bonus.
