We proudly support our local community with fundraisers, activities, and group donations.Position Description SummaryThe Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing complex mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance on production equipment throughout the facility. This role requires strong technical capability, problem‑solving skills, thinking outside the box, and the ability to work independently on shift. You will support equipment reliability across extrusion lines, conveyance systems, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, electrical controls, and plant utilities—ensuring safe, efficient, and uninterrupted operation of the manufacturing process.Owens Corning Maintenance DepartmentClean work environmentProper equipment documentation and controlsProper spare part inventory and controlsEquipment is regularly upgraded & maintainedEncouraged to improve processes & modify equipmentFostering of a “Think Outside the Box” mentality. We encourage ideas.Team leans on each other to improve the plant and skills of individualsHigh retention rateKey ResponsibilitiesMechanical SystemsMaintain, troubleshoot, and rebuild gearboxes, bearings, shafts, couplings, chain drives, belts, and mechanical power transmission componentsService and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems, cylinders, valves, pumps, hoses, regulators, filters, and actuatorsInspect, align, lubricate, and replace components on conveyors, extruders, and material handling equipmentPerform corrective maintenance and collaborate on reliability improvementsAll other duties assigned or neededElectrical & ControlsTroubleshoot and repair 480V (high voltage) industrial electrical systems, motors and circuitsDiagnose and repair AC/DC motors, contactors, starters, relays, and VFDsPerform root‑cause analysis on electrical faults, nuisance trips, and equipment failuresWork with instrumentation including sensors, flow/pressure devices, temperature controls, and limit switchesRead/interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control documentationAll other duties assigned or neededGeneral Maintenance & OperationsExecute preventive, predictive, and emergency maintenance using SAPMaintain accurate work order documentation and equipment historyFollow all Owens Corning safety policies and actively participate in safety cultureSupport process improvements and modifications to enhance reliability and efficiencyMaintain 5S and good housekeeping standardsSafety compliance (OSHA, NFPA 70E, L2-5 hears OTO)Maintain a high level of attendanceRequired QualificationsMinimum 3 - 5 years of industrial maintenance experience in manufacturing, heavy industry, or related environmentHigh school diploma or GED requiredTechnical schooling or certifications in Industrial Maintenance, Electronics, Mechatronics, Electromechanical Technology, Automated Systems, or related fieldProven experience troubleshooting both mechanical and electrical industrial systemsAbility to work independently with limited supervisionStrong communication, documentation, and organizational skillsPhysical RequirementsLift up to 50 lbs routinely without assistanceStand/walk for extended periods on concrete surfacesWork 12‑hour shifts in hot/cold industrial environmentsUse PPE including steel‑toe boots, safety glasses, hearing protection, and long sleevesOwens Corning is an equal opportunity employer.
