This role offers the opportunity to work alongside dedicated attorneys and program leaders to ensure high-quality, compassionate legal support reaches those who need it most.What You'll DoAs an ATLAS Paralegal, you will play a key role in connecting clients to critical legal services by:* Receiving and processing referrals for legal assistance* Conducting intake and initial client interviews with professionalism and empathy* Evaluating and organizing client information to determine eligibility for services* Collaborating with attorneys, program directors, and regional staff to ensure efficient case handling* Maintaining accurate and thorough documentation of client interactions* Helping ensure every eligible client receives timely and appropriate legal supportRequirements:We're seeking candidates who are compassionate, organized, and knowledgeable about legal systems, especially as they impact underserved communities.Minimum Qualifications:* High school diploma (or equivalent)* At least 2 years of relevant experience* Working knowledge of:* Legal principles and terminology* Legal research methods* Court systems and procedures* Legal issues affecting low-income populationsPreferred (but not required):* Associate's degree or Paralegal Certificate
