Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Nuclear Medicine Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Allied Position Job Notes: Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available Opportunity: Nuclear Medical Technician - Nuclear Med Technician Job Details: • Work Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM • Rotating weekend coverage every 4th weekend (Friday 4:30 PM to 7:00 AM, Saturday and Sunday 24 hours) • On-call requirement one day per week when not covering weekends • Perform 12-15 nuclear medicine scans/studies per day on average • Conduct cardiac, HIDA, gastric emptying, lung scans, thyroid uptake, and tilt studies • Must be proficient in IV starts and EKG procedures • Work with 4 nuclear medicine scanners including 2 Siemens E-cam and 2 Philips Brightview units • Use EMR Meditech Expanse system and AGFA IMPAX PACS system • Chart using EPIC system • Required certifications: ARRT or NMTCB certification, BLS certification, WV State Licensure, and Certified Nuclear Cardiology Technologist (NMTCB-NCT) verification • Must provide copy of unexpired driver's license with submission • Agency must provide radiation badge (facility will not provide) • Dress code requires black colored scrubs with no embroidery, no t-shirts, scrub jackets only for warmth, no Crocs with holes or open backs • Department-specific orientation required • Experience required with strong IV start and EKG skills essential Facility: This acute care hospital provides comprehensive nuclear medicine services with a modern department featuring multiple advanced imaging scanners and state-of-the-art equipment.
