Description:

SMX is seeking a Senior Compensation Specialist to design, implement, and manage competitive compensation programs that attract, retain, and motivate top talent. This role partners closely with HR, Finance, Talent and business stakeholders to ensure pay practices align with organizational strategy, market competitiveness, and regulatory compliance.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesCompensation Strategy & Program DesignLead the design, evaluation, and administration of base pay, incentive, and bonus programsConduct job evaluations and maintain job architecture frameworksDevelop salary structures, pay grades, and market pricing methodologiesSupport executive and sales compensation planning as neededLead annual company merit review cycleMarket Analysis & BenchmarkingConduct comprehensive market analyses using reputable salary survey dataProvide recommendations based on competitive market trends and internal equity analysisMonitor compensation trends, regulatory updates, and emerging best practicesData Analytics & ReportingAnalyze compensation data to identify trends, risks, and opportunitiesMaintain the Compensation Module in ADPModel compensation scenarios and financial impacts in partnership with FinanceCompliance & GovernanceEnsure compensation programs comply with federal, state, and local regulationsSupport audits and maintain documentation of compensation decisionsPartner with HR on pay equity analysis and corrective actions if neededAssess jobs and their respective duties to determine classification such as exempt or nonexempt and appropriate salary rangeStakeholder CollaborationAdvise HR, Talent, and Executive Leadership on compensation decisions including offers, promotions, and adjustmentsProvide guidance on pay transparency and communication strategiesTrain managers on compensation processes and job architecture frameworksRequired Skills & ExperienceClearance Required: NoneBachelor's degree in HR, Finance, Business, or related fieldMinimum of ten years of progressive compensation experienceStrong analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Excel and HRIS (preferably ADP) systemsExperience conducting market pricing and job evaluationsKnowledge of compensation laws and regulationsStrong analytical skills and ability to interpret and communicate dataDesired QualificationsCertified Compensation Professional (CCP) or similar certificationExperience with global compensation programsFamiliarity with pay equity analysis tools and data visualization platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)Experience integrating compensation programs and processes following an acquisition#LI-RemoteThe SMX salary determination process takes into account a number of factors, including but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories, relevant prior work experience, specific skills, education and certifications.The proposed salary for this position is:$94,700—$145,000 USDSMX is an Equal Opportunity employer including disabilities and veterans.Selected applicant may be subject to a background investigation and/or education verification.SMX does not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization or immigration related support for this position (i.e. H1B, F-1 OPT, F-1 STEM OPT, F-1 CPT, J-1, TN, E-2, E-3, L-1 and O-1, or any EADs or other forms of work authorization that require immigration support from an employer).#J-18808-Ljbffr
