Schedule (time and days) will be assigned by the Child Nutrition Office.IMPORTANT: Must be available to work the full summer contract; No exceptions for vacations or attending summer staff development.Evaluated by: Central Office StaffJob Description:1. Maintain positive work habits.2. Perform duties safely, effectively and productively.3. Maintain/upgrade job related skills.4. Perform/attend all job related training - Summer Food Non-Congregate Training will be required.5. Organize and accept shipment of summer meal boxes for summer feeding program (as needed) - breakfast and lunch.6. Complete accurate meal count sheets for the Summer Food Service Program, to include WVEIS numbers and other pertinent student information.7. Remove trash in the kitchen and food distribution area.8. Maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of all food and food distribution area.9. Maintain the cleanliness of all school and kitchen equipment and carts used for food distribution.10. Maintain list of students registered for pick up along with contact information and WVEIS numbers and submit to the Central Office upon completion of distribution.11. Call registered contacts and communicate with parents/guardians for reminders of meal pick up, as needed.12. Distribute boxes in an organized and safe manner to vehicles.13. Place cones for traffic control; able work outside in the weather.14. Monitor portion and quality control of products.15. Verify invoices for cost, quality and quantity of deliveries.16. Maintain accurate daily meal counts for boxes distributed, including student WVEIS numbers and contact information.17. Maintain the proper use and care of school and all equipment.18. Maintain food boxes to insure freshness.19. Count and move leftover meal boxes to designated school storage area. Complete documentation and communicate leftover meal boxes with Central Office.20. Maintain positive public and employee relation skills.21. Promote the non-congregate summer feeding program.22. Submit all required documentation to Child Nutrition Office weekly.23. Perform other related tasks of the summer program as assigned by the Child Nutrition Director.Qualifications:* High School Diploma or GED* Must have passed the State Competency Test for this classification* Demonstrates competencies of job* Ability to communicate, read, writes and make basic calculations and follow written and oral instructions* Good health with average physical strength with capability to lift large containers of food (50 lbs.) and work outside in the weather.* Possess a valid Food Handlers Card and meet all local and state health requirements* Ability to relate well with children and adults.* Length of Employment: Up to 17 days to be determined by the Child Nutrition Director between June 16th and August 6th pending student participation and need, as assigned. No paid holidays.Tentative Effective Employment Date: June 16, 2026
