Spilman Thomas & Battle, PLLC seeks to grow its labor and employment group. We welcome applications from attorneys who have 1 – 3 years' traditional labor law experience or those with general litigation experience who have an interest in labor law. About the Opportunity

We offer a multi-state, wholly-integrated, full-service law firm, designed to support complex, cross-jurisdictional matters and meet our clients' needs. The successful candidate will integrate into a collaborative, business-minded team with access to modern litigation support, client development resources, and leadership committed to attorney success. The role provides opportunities for professional development, including mentorship, firm leadership pathways, and targeted business development support.

Successful candidate should enjoy working as part of a dynamic team representing management in NLRB matters, union negotiations, arbitrations, union avoidance campaigns, advice and counseling on collective bargaining agreement administration and compliance, and labor components of M&A deals.

Qualified candidate must have an excellent academic record, a strong work ethic, strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with a team. Must exercise superior judgment, possess excellent research and writing skills, have the ability to develop strategies to minimize risk and efficiently resolve disputes, and effectively handle multiple projects.

Candidate must have active Bar license in one state, and be willing to become barred in North Carolina, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, or Florida.
