Description:

Perform advanced imaging procedures with a focus on CT and routine X-ray exams in a dynamic radiology department. This travel opportunity is based in Leon, WV, offering experience with high patient volumes and diverse imaging studies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine CT scans, including CT Angiographies (CTAs), averaging 10-20 CT procedures daily.
  • Perform approximately 100 routine X-ray exams per day.
  • Operate and maintain GE X-ray and Cannon CT imaging equipment.
  • Assist in stocking, cleaning, and preparing imaging rooms to maintain a safe and efficient workflow.
  • Potentially float to the Operating Room (OR) as needed.
  • Utilize EPIC for Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and FUJI for Picture Archive & Communication System (PACS).
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely patient care, adhering to departmental protocols and safety standards.
  • Maintain communication with nursing staff for tasks such as IV starts when applicable.
Qualifications:
  • Active ARRT (R) certification required; CT registration preferred but not mandatory with proper CT training.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
  • Proven experience in routine X-ray and CT imaging.
  • Ability to respond to standby calls within one hour.
  • Must provide an unexpired driver's license upon application.
  • Must have a radiation badge provided by the travel agency; facility will not supply one.
  • Flexibility to work afternoon, midnight, and possible weekend shifts.
Schedule:
  • Three 12-hour shifts per week, typically afternoons/midnights (9a-9p, 7a-7p, or 7p-7a).
  • Possible weekend and standby requirements with a one-hour response time.
