Front Desk Sales & Service Representative

Pay: $18.00 per hour

Location: Greater Charleston, WV

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM-4:30 PM

Job Type: Full-Time

Manpower is hiring a Front Desk Sales & Service Representative for a well-established supplier of masonry and construction materials. This role is ideal for someone with counter sales or retail experience who enjoys working directly with contractors, tradespeople, and walk-in customers in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

What You'll Do

• Greet and assist walk-in customers, contractors, and tradespeople with a friendly, professional approach

• Recommend products, check inventory levels, and provide accurate pricing and availability

• Process transactions efficiently and accurately using a POS system

• Respond to phone and email inquiries regarding orders, products, and deliveries

• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked sales counter and showroom

• Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment

• Assist with inventory tasks such as restocking and cycle counts

• Resolve customer questions or concerns using a problem-solving mindset

• Stay informed on product updates, promotions, and industry trends

What You Bring

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Experience in retail, counter sales, hardware, auto parts, or construction supply environments

• Strong customer service and communication skills

• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy setting

• Comfort using computers and point-of-sale systems

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with assistance and stand for extended periods

Preferred Experience

• Knowledge of building materials, tools, masonry products, or construction supplies

• Familiarity working with contractors or trade professionals
