Job Summary

The Customer Service Representative II - New Patient Care engages with patients referred from partner pharmacies, helping to initiate their services and ensuring the timely delivery of durable medical equipment and diabetes supplies. This role is vital in creating a supportive environment through empathetic outbound calls, patient information verification, and guiding patients through the onboarding journey with professionalism and care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist patients over the phone to kickstart their initial orders for diabetes testing supplies and other related products.
  • Conduct outreach calls to patients from partner pharmacies, introducing our services and facilitating their onboarding experience.
  • Provide outstanding customer service by addressing inquiries, explaining product offerings, and ensuring patients feel fully supported throughout the process.
  • Collect and validate patient demographics, insurance information, and account details while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
  • Meet high productivity goals, managing over 80 combined inbound and outbound calls daily, and handling an average of 150+ patient accounts monthly.
  • Ensure the prompt processing and dispatch of patient orders, exceeding both individual and departmental targets.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and provider support staff to verify eligibility and resolve any issues related to orders.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of all interactions, keeping detailed notes in the company system for continuity and compliance.
  • Take responsibility for each patient interaction, ensuring a seamless onboarding experience and timely access to required supplies.
  • Emphasize a positive, patient-centric approach, particularly when assisting older populations who may be wary of scams.

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of customer service experience in a call center environment is preferred.
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience is preferred.

  • Handle routine assignments requiring basic problem-solving abilities.

Compensation and Benefits:

Hourly range: $15.75 - $18.50.
