TECHNICIAN - PLANT

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

• Performs all duties and activities in a manner that conforms to site specific safety requirements, company policy, state and federal regulations.
• Plant start-up and operations.
• Monitor plant controls while in operation.
• Make plant adjustments (tons per hour, gravity, temperature, etc.).
• Plant shutdown.

Other Duties/Responsibilities:

• General clean-up.
• Mechanic helper on plant repairs.
• Perform other duties as required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Must have overall knowledge of coal preparation process.
• Must have working knowledge of plant circuits that are involved in preparation.
• Familiar with running and safety controls
• Know the Safe Job Procedures, Standard Operating Procedures, company safety policies, and applicable rules and regulations.
• Welding experience preferred

Working Environment:

• The operator must constantly be attentive to the changing geological conditions and surrounding environment.

Education, Qualifications and Training:

• Annual 8 hour retraining
• On-the-job experience
• Vocational training (optional)
• Other qualifications as required by the company
