Regional Operations Manager

Description:

CV Resources is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Regional Operations Manager to oversee our Operations in the Eastern Region, covering several states, operating out of the Eastern Time Zone. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the fabrication and servicing of industrial equipment, coupled with exceptional leadership skills to drive operational excellence and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Provide leadership and full P&L oversight for all scale service operations within the region.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies that support company goals, growth, and customer service objectives.
  • Oversee day-to-day field operations for scale installation, calibration, maintenance, and repair to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety.
  • Partner closely with cross-functional teams (Sales, HR, Safety, Quality, Finance) to streamline processes and enhance service delivery.
  • Monitor and analyze operational KPIs—such as response times, service completion rates, technician utilization, and customer satisfaction—to identify improvement opportunities and drive performance.
  • Manage budgets, forecasting, inventory, and resource allocation to optimize regional productivity.
  • Promote and maintain a strong culture of safety, compliance, and high-quality workmanship across all technician teams.
  • Build and strengthen client relationships, ensuring consistent communication and a high level of service.
  • Recruit, train, mentor, and develop scale technicians and support staff to enhance skills, productivity, and career growth.
  • Ensure compliance with all industry regulations, calibration standards, metrology requirements, and internal company policies.
Required Skills/Abilities
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Experience with ERP systems, data analysis, and vendor management software. INFOR a plus.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism.
  • Proficiency with operational or field-service management software, scheduling systems, and reporting tools.
  • Ability to travel within the region as required.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field; equivalent experience (10+ years) may be considered in place of a degree.
  • Minimum of 5 years of operations management experience, preferably in the scale service, industrial service, metrology, or related technical field environment.
  • Strong understanding of service operations, calibration processes, quality control, and safety standards.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability with proven experience managing field technicians or dispersed service teams.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities, with the capability to work effectively across departments and with customers.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position; typical work hours and days are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.
