Position Description

POSITION TITLE: County Data Manager/WVEIS County Contact

QUALIFICATIONS:

Possess a minimum of an Associate's Degree from an accredited institution of higher education.

Be able to work efficiently and cooperatively in a task-oriented work environment with competing priorities and multiple deadlines.

Demonstrate strong organizational and time-management skills.

Be self-motivated.

Demonstrate sound problem-solving skills.

Successful experience with WVEIS data management preferred.

Successful experience with management of educational software programs preferred.

Successful experience with analyzing and disaggregating student assessment data.

Be able to effectively train adults in the use of the WVEIS system and associated applications.

Successful experience with development and management of county websites.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Possess the knowledge, skills and ability to successfully carry out the duties and responsibilities of the position.

REPORTS TO: Director of Technology

SALARY: Salary based on experience and education level per MCBOE salary schedule plus competitive benefits package equal to approximately 35% of direct compensation.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Serve as the WVEIS County Contact for Morgan County Schools, supporting statewide data initiatives and compliance requirements.

Manage and maintain accurate county WVEIS data, ensuring integrity, security, and timely updates.

Oversee the implementation, management and effective use of county cirriculum/technology applications and software systems that rely on WVEIS data and integration.

Maintain and update county unified forms and documents to ensure consistency, accessibility, and alignment with county procedures.

Maintain and update county websites and social media platforms, ensuring all content meets applicable state, federal, and accessibility compliance requirements.

Participate in required West Virginia Department of Education (WVDE) and county meetings, and professional development.

Provide training and support staff on WVEIS processes, procedures, and related systems.

Manage and support student data reporting and analysis as requested by administration, including oversight of associated software platforms.

Review, evaluate and recommend technology tools and purchases to the Director of Technology based on instructional and opertional needs.

Perform other duties as assigned by Administration.
