This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Staff Accountant - REMOTE. In this role, you will play a critical part in the financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance in various accounting processes. You will collaborate with the finance team to prepare monthly financial packages and contribute to the overall financial health of the organization. Accountabilities

    • Prepare monthly journal entries and reconciliations related to general accounting, fixed assets, and accrued liabilities.
    • Participate in the month-end closing process, including close notifications.
    • Support the Assistant Controller in reporting and financial tie-outs.
    • Administer wire transfers and manage cash tracking and cash flow forecasting.
    • Conduct monthly variance reporting for income statements and balance sheets.
    • Review balance sheet reconciliations and fixed asset entries prepared by staff.
    • Lead assessments for capitalization and expense treatment for projects.
    • Ensure GAAP compliance with internal controls and processes.
    • Support payroll accounting and audit activities.
    • Assist in ERP implementation and other special projects as required.
Requirements
    • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
    • 2-3 years of experience in a public accounting firm or 5+ years in accounting and reporting.
    • Strong knowledge of general ledger and GAAP.
    • Experience in financial statement preparation and capital asset accounting.
    • Excellent communication skills to engage effectively across all levels.
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
    • Proficient in MS Word and Excel.
    • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
