Description:
• The clinical SME provides expert clinical knowledge and operational guidance during the pre-deployment of a healthcare system across multiple sites. This role ensures that workflows assessment and documentation practices align with clinical standards and organizational goals, supporting a smooth transition to active deployment phase.
• Serves as the clinical operations expert during Pre-deployment to ensure system workflow, support, patient care and clinical practice are documented in preparation for transition to deployment.
• Act as a liaison between clinical staff and technical teams to ensure system configuration aligns with real world clinical needs. Identify workflow gaps or issues and provide recommendations for improvements.

Minimum qualifications:
• 4+ years of professional work experience
• Assess information and knowledge-based needs of healthcare professionals and patients; characterizes, evaluates, and refines clinical processes; develops, implements, and refines clinical decision support systems, and leads or participates in the procurement, customization, development, implementation, management, evaluation, and continuous improvement of clinical information systems, such as EHRs and order-entry systems.
• Works independently.
• Master's Degree Healthcare or related scientific, technical, or clinical discipline is required, or an additional 8 years of relevant experience may be substituted for degree requirements

• VA experience preferred
• Experience implementing Electronic Health Records
