Join Mullen Plumbing, Heating & Cooling as a Sewer & Drain Technician in Charleston, WV

Job Summary:

The Sewer and Drain Technician will be responsible for providing sewer and drain clearing services to both residential and commercial customers. This includes routine drain maintenance, emergency drain maintenance, line locating and video services.

Job Duties:

• Clean and clear drains and sewer lines
• Collaborate with the camera technician to pass along all vital information to assist in educating the customer on the diagnosed problem or problems, and options for the customer's needs.
• Maintain and protect sewer and drain machines and equipment.
• Provide excellent customer service and communication to foster business relationships.

Qualifications:

• 1-3 years of residential and/or commercial drain cleaning experience, including working knowledge of drain line methods, tools and equipment.
• Knowledge of drain and sewer lines.
• Previous experience with cabling/jetting of drain lines.
• Previous experience with sewer camera/video inspection.
• Effective communication and customer service skills.
• Professional and knowledgeable appearance and demeanor.
• Ability to work independently.
• Strong mechanical skills, including the use of hand tools and sewer and drain cleaning equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose complex drain issues.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift sewer and drain equipment multiple times daily
• Operation of sewer and drain machines.
• Ability to work and drive in various weather conditions.

Other Requirements:

• Valid driver's license and be able to be insured by the company's insurance.
• Pass a drug screening and background check.
• Ability to meet and maintain productivity, safety and quality requirements.
• Keep company equipment, tools and vehicles in good clean working order.
• Provide your own basic hand tools.
• Available to work M-F from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm or later if necessary.
• Available to participate in a rotating on-call schedule for nights and weekends.
