Description:
The Cath Lab Technologist will work in a cardiac catheterization lab.
The role requires scrubbing and assisting the physician.
Knowledge of sterile technique is necessary.
Radiologic Technologists will be responsible for supporting the procedural team.
Common cases include diagnostic left and right heart catheterizations, PCI, IABP, and temporary pacemaker insertions.
Technologists will be part of a team that includes Registered Nurses who circulate and sedate patients.
Documentation requirements must be completed accurately.
Experience in Cath Lab or Radiologic Technology is needed, with a preference for travelers who have strong experience.
The equipment utilized includes Siemens software and devices.
Technologists are expected to handle on-call duties.
There will be a one-week on-call requirement per four-week schedule.
Call can be scheduled for seven consecutive days or split throughout the month.
Weekend call from Friday evening until Monday morning may also be required.
Rotational holiday call is part of the responsibilities.
Response time for on-call duties is expected to be within 30 minutes.
Surgical attire will be provided.
Unit-specific training will take place within the department.
There may be opportunities to work extra hours in other units if the candidate has relevant experience.
