The Official Scorer is responsible for making and announcing all official scoring decisions during Charleston Professional Baseball Company home games in accordance with Rule 9 of the Official Baseball Rules. This position plays a critical role in the integrity of the game by maintaining accurate records, exercising sound judgment on scoring decisions, and serving as a resource for scoring rule interpretation to club personnel, media, and league officials. The Official Scorer works closely with Communications Director to submit the official game report to the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball. Duties and Responsibilities. Arrive at the ballpark no later than 60 minutes prior to the scheduled game start time. Collect team rosters and applicable pre-game information and be fully set up at the assigned press box location prior to first pitch.
