Job Description

We are looking for a Database Analyst to provide system and end-user support for homegrown systems such as myNHDOE (single sign-on system), SEEDS (master data management), iNHDEX (student-level data collection system), and ESSP (school district-level data collection system). This position will be full-time, remote, and a 6-12 month contract.

Only work authorizations that will not require sponsorship now or in the future will be considered.

What You'll Do

  • Provide system support and end-user support for homegrown systems like myNHDOE, SEEDS, iNHDEX, and ESSP

  • Advise and train school district employees and personnel in system access and use of supported systems

  • Troubleshoot system issues to help restore normal functioning

  • Make recommendations to expand or modify systems to serve new purposes or improve workflow

  • Test the release of bug fixes and feature enhancements for supported systems

  • Consult with management to ensure agreement on system principles

  • Assess the usefulness of pre-developed application packages and adapt them

  • Provide support for data collection, processing, and reporting, and document policies and procedures for agency data collection to ensure accuracy of program outcomes, metrics, and state and federal reporting

What You'll Need

Required:

  • At least 5 years of experience with data system administration/analysis

  • At least 5 years of experience providing end-user support for data systems

  • At least 3 years of experience with data system testing

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

  • Exceptional communication skills (both written and verbal)

Preferred:

  • 3 years of experience with SQL

  • 2 years of experience using and administering JIRA

  • Experience working with education-related data or data systems

Physical Demands

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards

  • Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.

  • Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor

$45 - $50 per hour

The pay range for this position is listed above. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, experience, and education. Benefit packages include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as 401k retirement account access. Employees in this role may also be entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
