Village Caregiving - Charleston Caregiver

Village Caregiving - Charleston is seeking a compassionate and dedicated caregiver to join our team in Elkview, West Virginia. As a caregiver, you will provide support and assistance to patients in their homes, promoting their overall wellbeing and comfort. This is a part-time, hourly healthcare/medical job where you will be responsible for providing individualized care to each patient. This is an individual contributor role where you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of those in need. The compensation for this position is $11 to $14 per hour, paid semimonthly.

Responsibilities:

• Assist patients with daily tasks including bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating
• Follow the care plan
• Provide companionship and emotional support to patients
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients
• Communicate any changes or concerns in patients' health to appropriate healthcare professionals
• Document patient progress and report any significant changes to the appropriate personnel
• Ensure all patient information is kept confidential and adhere to HIPAA regulations
• Promote independence and self-care for patients
• Follow all safety and infection control measures

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred but not required
• Compassionate and empathetic nature
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
• Time management and organizational skills
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
