Job Overview

Join GE's Aerospace division as a Project Manager, where you will take the lead in shaping the future of our global distribution networks. In this vital role, you will spearhead cross-functional teams across Supply Chain, Logistics, IT, Finance, Quality, EHS, and Commercial sectors to design innovative network strategies, integrate advanced systems (WMS/TMS/ERP), and enhance our distribution pipeline, all while achieving outstanding service levels and cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of network design and capacity in collaboration with Supply Chain and Logistics Engineering teams.
  • Create and manage comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and risk assessments.
  • Ensure facility readiness aligning with essential layout, material flow, EHS compliance, security, and regulatory standards.
  • Oversee integration projects with WMS/TMS/ERP systems, ensuring EDI, labeling, and master data readiness.
  • Establish and deliver Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs); provide necessary training and detailed work instructions.
  • Design and implement forecasting strategies to accommodate long-term global growth, ensuring accurate demand and inventory forecasts.
  • Execute inventory migration and ramp plans, and validate cycle counts for inventory accuracy.
  • Lead hypercare and stabilization efforts, implementing solutions that achieve steady-state performance.
  • Communicate progress, risks, and mitigation strategies with stakeholders and leadership, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Promote continuous improvement and lean initiatives to enhance throughput, reduce costs, and improve service quality.
  • Ensure compliance with EHS standards and relevant quality, trade, and cybersecurity regulations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university, or a high school diploma/GED with 4+ years of relevant experience in project/program management, logistics, distribution, or manufacturing.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Operations, Business, or related field; advanced degree or PMP/Prince2 certification is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated experience in launching distribution centers or onboarding third-party logistics providers alongside successful WMS/TMS implementations.
  • Comprehensive understanding of network design, inventory management, transportation, and warehouse operations.
  • Proven ability in managing large, diverse teams and external partners effectively.
  • Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., MS Project/Smartsheet) and analytical software (Excel, SQL/BI preferred).
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills with stakeholders and vendors.
  • Experience in EDI, labeling, compliance standards, and master data governance would be beneficial.
  • Knowledge of EHS, trade compliance, and quality management within distribution environments.

Performance Metrics

  • Safety: Monitoring reportable incident rates and audit compliance results.
  • Quality: Tracking inventory accuracy, ASN/label compliance, and damage/defect rates.
  • Delivery: Achieving on-time project launches, OTIF rates, and efficient order processing times.
  • Cost: Adherence to budget guidelines while analyzing cost-to-serve metrics.

Travel Requirement

  • This role requires a commitment to approximately 70% international travel for a designated period.
