• Team: The Agent Productivity Tools (APT) team is crucial to Coinbase's Enterprise Applications and Architecture organization. We build customer experience platforms that streamline customer service and compliance processes, enhancing the efficiency of our customer experience agents. Our innovative services and tools help resolve customer issues and KYC compliance swiftly and accurately, leading to higher satisfaction and a compliant experience.
• Role: You will develop applications that empower Coinbase Customer Agents and other users to boost productivity, automate processes, and drive significant impact using AI/ML-based technologies.

What you'll be doing:

• Develop comprehensive user features using Golang and cloud technologies.
• Lead the assessment and integration of third-party tools.
• Deliver cross-functional solutions to complex challenges by collaborating with product, design, security, data, and other engineering teams.
• Maintain awareness of Coinbase's platforms and development practices to drive improvements across teams.
• Contribute in an environment where innovative ideas are generated and implemented.
• Anticipate potential challenges and adapt strategies accordingly to mitigate risks.
• Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical leaders across the organization.
• Simplify complex technical concepts for easier understanding by non-tech team members.
• Mentor team members in best practices for design, coding, testing, deployment, documentation, and scalability.
• Collaborate with teams across various time zones.

What we look for in you:

• You possess at least 5 years of software engineering experience, particularly in developing large-scale systems with Golang and cloud technologies, delivering user-facing features.
• You are experienced with third-party vendor integrations.
• You thrive in working with large-scale, high-traffic platforms and have a proven ability to implement robust, scalable services.
• You have actively contributed to technical architecture and its implementation.
• You are skilled in AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, BuildKite, or similar technologies.
• You understand concepts such as rate limiting, caching, load balancing, circuit breaking, metrics, logging, and debugging.
• You have experience with event-driven architectures (Kafka, MQ, etc.) and are proficient in either SQL or NoSQL databases, with an understanding of gRPC, GraphQL, and ETL concepts.
• You are proficient in Go.

Nice to haves:

• Experience with Python or Ruby.
• Familiarity with SaaS platforms.

Pay Transparency Notice: Depending on your work location, the target annual base salary for this position ranges from $186,065 to $218,900 USD. Full-time offers from Coinbase also include bonus eligibility, equity eligibility, and a range of benefits.
