Your Role in Privacy at Cardinal Health
Join Cardinal Health's dynamic Legal team, where we provide proactive and strategic legal advice, ensuring the integrity of our operations and protecting our reputation. As part of the Privacy function, you'll collaborate with dedicated professionals in our Enterprise Privacy Office and across various business sectors to navigate complex privacy regulations and safeguard sensitive data.
Key Responsibilities
Act as a Privacy expert for the Specialty Alliance business, guiding and advising clinical and business leaders on privacy laws, data usage, security, and breaches.
Translate complex privacy legislation and regulatory requirements into practical guidance for cross-functional teams on major projects.
Support the management of inquiries, investigations, or actions related to privacy and data security.
Assist with reviewing and negotiating a variety of privacy-related agreements to ensure compliance.
Engage in privacy-related aspects of acquisitions, divestitures, and joint ventures.
Develop and implement comprehensive privacy policies and procedures to meet legal requirements.
Champion privacy risk awareness and foster a culture of compliance within the organization.
Create and deliver specialized training programs on privacy for diverse audiences.
Lead investigations into privacy incidents and oversee data breach reporting in coordination with the VP of Privacy.
Stay informed on developments in privacy legislation at local, national, and international levels impacting the Specialty Alliance business.
What We Look For
Expertise in HIPAA Privacy and Security Rules, particularly in healthcare settings.
Strong knowledge of U.S. and, preferably, international privacy laws and regulations.
Experience supporting digital solutions in healthcare, collaborating with business teams to implement privacy controls.
Exceptional relationship-building and collaborative skills.
Results-driven mindset with the ability to prioritize initiatives effectively.
Project management skills that enable you to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
Certifications such as CHPC, CHPS, or CIPP are a plus.
Qualifications
8-12 years of relevant experience preferred.
Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience recommended.

Anticipated Salary Range: $105,100 - $150,100
