Project Coordinator - Electrical Construction

Summary:
Coordinates electrical construction projects; assists Project Manager with adherence to contract documents including plans, specifications, permits, technical elements, scheduling activities, and estimates. Manages data and material resources throughout the life of a project.

Essential Accountabilities: (Not all-inclusive)
1. Prepares submittals, shop drawings, layout drawings, as-built drawings, O&M manuals and other various documentation as required by project needs
2. Creates and maintains project files and project logs, e.g., Submittal, Purchase Orders
3. Builds Schedules
4. Enforces Project Strategy Document
5. Prepares Purchase Orders and Subcontracts
6. Distributes and maintains current drawings, specifications and product data
7. Promptly resolves issues with clients
8. Manages daily affairs to stay on budget and on schedule
9. Attends Project Management Meetings, Supervisory Trainings

Qualifications and Education Requirements
1. Two years as project coordinator in electrical construction or equivalent experience
2. P6, Accubid, Newforma experience
3. Highly competent in MS Suite: Excel, Word, E-mail
4. Excellent communication skills
5. Projects professional and positive attitude
6. Ability to interpret and comprehend technical blueprints, one lines and specifications

Preferred Skills
1. Novice knowledge of NEC, NFPA 72, NFPA 70E, IBC and IFC
2. Prior experience in the construction industry
3. Newforma experience
