QUALIFICATIONS:
A. High school diploma or equivalent
B. Ability to communicate, read, write, and follow directions
C. Good health with average agility and dexterity
D. Possess physical strength to perform jobs that require prolonged
standing, bending, stooping, and/or working in cramped quarters
E. Ability to climb/work at high altitudes on ladders, scaffolds, and/or
roofs as the job requires
F. Valid WV Driver's License
G. Successful passage of State Competence Test
H. Experience with lawn care and riding mowers preferred
I. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50lbs and push or pull 50lbs
loads at a time
REPORTS TO: Director of Maintenance
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
A. Maintenance of positive work habits
B. Perform duties effectively and productively
C. Perform duties as helper to maintenance workers, custodians,
mechanics, or other positions as assigned by the Director of Maintenance
D. Perform minor repairs to equipment and perform lawn care to/at all
facilities and grounds of Webster County Schools
E. Perform routine manual tasks in any operation of the county school
system
F. Load, haul, and unload materials
G. Apply and treat hardwood floor finish and other floors as well
H. Cut the lawns using hand power mowers and weed eaters
I. Clean grounds and remove litter

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: As needed for emergency or temporary situations which arise during
any given period of the school year.
PAY GRADE: B
LOCATION: All Webster County Schools facilities and grounds.
EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with the provisions of
the Service Personnel Evaluation Policy (4220).
