POSITION SUMMARY
The Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for the office and provides essential administrative support to ensure smooth daily operations. This role requires strong communication skills, organization, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced office environment.
POSITION FUNCTIONS
- Greet employees and visitors in a professional and welcoming manner
- Answer, screen, and route incoming phone calls
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and deliveries
- Perform general clerical duties including filing, data entry, scanning, and copying
- Assist with and prepare basic communications, reports, presentations, and documents.
- Assist with purchase card reporting and reconciliation including making sure receipts are current and accurate
- Assist with scheduling and carrying out meetings, conference rooms, ordering food, setting appointments, and arranging travel
- Maintain office calendars, contact lists, and records
- Order and manage office supplies and equipment maintenance; coordinate with vendors as needed
- Support internal staff with administrative requests
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding employees
- Work with HR and other staff to maintain employee records and handle confidential employee information with discretion.
- Help maintain office procedures and administrative systems
- Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1+ years of experience in a receptionist or administrative support role, preferred
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with excellent time management with proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to deal with a diverse group of all levels of management both internally and externally.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Proficiency in Windows-based office software (Word, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint) and the aptitude to learn new computer systems.
- Basic understanding of office equipment.
- The ability to lift a carry at least twenty pounds and perform other physical tasks related to managing an office.
- Ability to conduct self in an appropriate manner as a representative of SEC, working effectively in a diverse work environment.

TRAVEL REQUIRED: May have to travel locally as office needs dictate
WORKING CONDITIONS: This position will in-person work in a normal office setting.
