Security Officer - Tech Park Patrol

As a Security Officer - Tech Park Patrol in Charleston, WV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a leading tech, media, and telecom location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a strong presence throughout the site. You will conduct routine patrols, deliver outstanding customer service, and communicate professionally with visitors and staff. What You'll Do

+ Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, responding to emergency situations.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including business areas and the perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.

+ Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate Allied Universal personnel and/or client representatives.

+ Maintain detailed and accurate records of patrols, incidents, and any actions taken during the shift.

+ Communicate clearly and courteously with staff, visitors, and/or vendors as required while upholding site protocols.

+ Remain alert and attentive to changes in the environment, technology, or media equipment that may impact security-related procedures.

Minimum Requirements

+ Access control or badge experience is preferred.

+ This is primarily a driving post.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
