Operating a bailer machine, driving Salvation Army vehicles, as well as Loading and unloading trucks, performing lifting of heavy objects on a regular basis.
Key Responsibilities:
Operates the truck in compliance with established Salvation Army standards and state driving regulations.
Lifts, carries, loads, and unloads various donations to include furniture, appliances, clothing, etc.
Ensures the safety, security, and accountability of the vehicle and donations at all times.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
The working environment is a warehouse without air conditions and with a cement floor where a majority of the day is spent. Temperatures vary from approximately 30 degrees in the winter to 100 degrees in the summer. There is an air-conditioned room in the warehouse for the storage of equipment and office space. Position involves going in and out of the air-conditioned space into the warehouse throughout the day.
Ability to lifts scales, hand trucks, forklifts and dollies
Ability to meet attendance requirements
Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language
Ability to perform routine mathematical calculations
Duties are usually performed seated. Sitting may be relieved by brief or occasional periods of standing or walking
Ability to occasionally lift boxes of donations

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma/GED preferred but not required; one (1) year of experience driving a heavy-duty truck or large van such as a box truck; OR
any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
Valid State Driver's License required:
Approved Background Check and Motor Vehicle Request, required.
