Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, build, and operation of scalable data pipelines on Databricks using Spark on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications and ensure solutions meet quality, performance, and security standards.
  • Mentor a team of data engineers, fostering innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Engage with clients on a daily basis, deliver technical presentations, and identify opportunities for additional services.
  • Implement resource plans, manage engagement economics, and drive project delivery within scope and budget.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Master's preferred.
  • 4–6 years of relevant experience in data engineering with a focus on cloud data solutions and analytics.
  • Deep expertise in Databricks and Spark big‑data processing.
  • Strong background in data architecture, design, and governance.
  • Proven leadership skills, able to manage, mentor, and develop a high‑performing team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both technical and non‑technical.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.

Experience & Skills

  • Experience designing cloud analytics solutions on Databricks.
  • Proficiency in Python, Scala, SQL, and data lake architecture.
  • Hands‑on experience with data governance, security, and compliance.
  • Track record of delivering complex data engineering projects on schedule.
  • Client‑relationship management and stakeholder engagement.
  • Ability to manage and mitigate technical risk.
  • Knowledge of emerging data engineering technologies and trends.

Benefits & Compensation

  • Competitive base salary range $125,500 – $230,200 (modifiable by location).
