Consulting Director, Land Services at ERM

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute commercial strategies to win new business and grow revenue.
• Negotiate and secure land agreements, rights‑of‑way, leases, and fee purchases.
• Lead consulting engagements in impact assessment and compliance.
• Build and manage a high‑performance team of land agents and consultants.
• Collaborate with ERM Partners and global experts to deliver world‑class solutions.
• Ensure projects meet health & safety, financial, and regulatory standards.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of relevant experience (15+ years preferred) in land services or related consulting.
• Proven success in the renewable energy and/or utility industry.
• Strong negotiation skills for complex property and land agreements.
• Exceptional communication and relationship‑building abilities.
• Ability to travel up to 30%.

Preferred Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of renewable energy, gas, and electric utility sectors.
• Familiarity with courthouse record‑keeping and title research.
• Understanding of property rights, eminent domain, and state/local ownership laws.

Compensation

Annual base pay is $136,518 – $189,000 (USD). Actual pay will depend on education, experience, skills, location, performance, and business needs. This role may be eligible for bonus pay. Bonus, commission, and other forms of additional compensation are not guaranteed and are subject to ERM's policies and procedures.
