Job Full Description
A local medical facility is seeking a qualified, compassionate temporary Registration Representative to perform a variety of tasks to help keep things running smoothly. We are looking for someone that is motivated, organized and reliable. And when working with the public, one must have excellent people skills!
Responsibilities:
As a Registration Representative you will be responsible for detailed, timely and accurate intake of patient information and insurance verification. You'll provide upfront collection estimates to patients and collect the amount due as well as obtaining authorizations for procedures/testing as required by the patient's insurance company. A HIPAA exam will be administered.
Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or the equivalent.
- At least one year of previous work experience in a medical facility
- Medical terminology
- Must have knowledge of insurance benefits
- Be neat, well groomed, and have a courteous, pleasant manner
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Good customer service and problem solving skills
- Must be able to multi-task
