General Description
Under supervision performs skilled and unskilled job duties to maintain the physical plant. Duties include installing and repairing electrical apparatuses, plumbing fixtures & lines and refrigeration equipment using appropriate tools. Clean and repair the pulpier in the dietary department, make carpentry repairs using power and hand tools. Install cylindrical dead bolts & related hardware using various tools. Mow grass, plow & shovel snow, replace light bulbs, move furniture, change lock combinations, open locks for which keys or combinations are lost and other related job duties as required. Mandatory overtime is an essential function of this position. Applicants selected must successfully complete a chemical urinalysis & breath analysis drug screening. All employees shall be subject to drug and alcohol testing for probable causes as set forth in agency & bureau policies. Applicants must successfully complete a background check. This is a tobacco free facility.

Minimum Qualifications
Education:
High school diploma or the equivalent.
Licensure/Certifications:
May require specific licensure/certifications based on assignment.
Experience:
One (1) years of full time or equivalent part-time experience in performing maintenance and repair work in one or more building maintenance trades (e.g., electrical, carpentry, welding, plumbing, sheet metal, painting, drywall).
