Full-Time Assistant Manager

Description:

Join our team as an Assistant Manager, where you'll play a crucial role in overseeing store operations and driving performance. This full-time position comes with an average of 38 hours per week and a starting wage of $24.50 per hour, increasing to $25.50 in Year 2.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support the store leader in developing action plans to improve operating results.
  • Clearly set job responsibilities and performance expectations for team members.
  • Identify training and development opportunities to enhance performance.
  • Communicate and model the company's core values to foster teamwork.
  • Monitor competition and provide feedback to adapt strategies as needed.
  • Participate in the hiring process for store personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with inventory and product handling procedures.
  • Assist in resolving customer concerns in the absence of the store leader.
  • Maintain store cleanliness and safety standards.
  • Assist with stock management and product merchandising.
  • Supervise daily operations and ensure team responsibilities are fulfilled.
  • Comply with company policies while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to stock merchandise and lift items weighing up to 45 pounds.
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, and walk throughout the store.

Job Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Strong ability to work independently and with a team.
  • Excellent customer service and leadership skills.
  • Ability to apply company policies effectively.
  • Proficient in evaluating and driving performance.
  • Cash register operations experience.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of retail experience, management experience preferred.
