Kanawha County Schools is now accepting applications for Coordinator of Purchasing: QUALIFICATIONS: Certified Public Procurement Buyer (CPPB) or equivalent preferred. Must obtain the CPPB within four (4) years of being placed in this position. Specific Qualifications: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Business or Public Administration, Business Law, Finance, Purchasing, or closely related field. Minimum three (3) years progressively responsible experience in public purchasing, including supervisory responsibilities. Ability to utilize Excel software for accounting and finance applications. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Willingness to learn the West Virginia Education Information System (WVEIS). Good understanding of the basic concepts of generally accepted accounting principles in connection to a double-entry accounting system.
