We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior IT Architect to lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and innovative technology solutions. As a key member of our IT leadership team, you will play a critical role in shaping the long-term technical strategy of the organization. This role involves close collaboration with stakeholders across business and technology units to ensure architectural alignment with business goals, while also driving modernization and digital transformation initiatives.

This role requires deep expertise in enterprise architecture frameworks, systems integration, and emerging technologies. The Principal Architect acts as a trusted advisor to executive leadership, collaborates with cross-functional teams, and provides thought leadership to guide digital transformation, modernization, and innovation efforts.

You will play a critical role in evaluating new technologies, mitigating architectural risks, and ensuring that IT systems are scalable, secure, and future-ready. This is both a strategic and hands-on role, ideal for a candidate who can move seamlessly between high-level vision and detailed technical execution.

What You'll Do:

  • Essential Functions:
  • Design scalable, secure, and high-performance IT solutions aligned with business goals.
  • Develop architectural blueprints, frameworks, and roadmaps for enterprise systems and platforms.
  • Ensure solutions meet non-functional requirements such as performance, scalability, security, and compliance.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) across multiple technical domains (e.g., cloud, data, integration, infrastructure).
  • Guide and review solution designs by engineering teams to ensure alignment with architectural standards and best practices.
  • Research and evaluate new technologies, tools, and industry trends to inform strategic planning.
  • Provide architectural oversight on major projects, ensuring consistency and scalability across initiatives.
  • Mentor and support junior architects, engineers, and development teams in applying architectural principles.
  • Lead or support RFPs, vendor evaluations, and third-party solution assessments.
  • Work closely with business leaders, product managers, and IT teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Provide architectural oversight on major projects, ensuring consistency and scalability across initiatives.
  • Mentor and support junior architects, engineers, and development teams in applying architectural principles.
  • Lead or support RFPs, vendor evaluations, and third-party solution assessments.
  • Produce and maintain comprehensive architectural documentation, including diagrams, data flows, and technical specifications.
  • Provide regular updates to leadership on architectural decisions, project impacts, risks, and opportunities.
  • Supervisory & Additional Leadership Responsibilities:
  • Manage relationships and expectations with third party accounts, such as outside vendors and contractors
  • Perform other projects and duties as assigned
Who You Are:
  • Required:
  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years of experience in designing or managing cloud environment
  • Deep understanding of architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman, FEAF).
  • Strong knowledge of integrating disparate systems and platforms (APIs, middleware, microservices, SOA).
  • Familiarity with security frameworks, identity/access management, encryption, and regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
  • Experience designing modern applications using containers, orchestration (Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Proficiency in data modeling, data lakes, warehouses, and governance tools.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards (FHIR, HL7) and compliance requirements (HIPAA, HITRUST). Successful track record of effective project coordination, prioritization, collaboration, organization, and timely project delivery
  • Practical experience of computer operating systems such as MS Windows, MacOS,
  • UNIX/Linux
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to work independently
  • Excellent project management and time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly get to the root cause of issues
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
  • Nice to haves:
  • Master's degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related technical field;
  • Experience with healthcare platforms and systems, such as EMRs and Care Management platforms
  • 3+ years AWS experience
  • Experience in start-up or high-growth environments.
  • Exposure to AI/ML, predictive analytics, or remote patient monitoring solutions.

  • Authorized or able to provide required documents to work in United States.
