Were looking for music and pop culture fanatics to help create the best experience for our customers. As a Hot Topic Part-Time Assistant Manager Level 1, youll be a significant part of our success by supporting the store leadership team in providing an exceptional customer experience, ensuring that fellow fans can access the merchandise they love. Youll leverage your fandom knowledge to help train new recruits and support daily operations and sales targets.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Provide an engaging shopping experience that encourages repeat visits. Demonstrate product knowledge, customer service skills, and enthusiasm for pop culture.
• Step in and support when needed, covering sales floor duties and assisting the management team.
• Open and close the store as required, maintaining security and operational procedures.
• Operate the register, process sales transactions, and utilize your fandom knowledge to promote add-on sales and benefits like BOPIS and curbside pickup. Communicate any shortages or overages to your Store Manager.
• Understand store sales plans, goals, and key KPIs such as UPT and ADT.
• Assist with planogram updates, including store layout, wall displays, fixtures, and merchandising.
• Share insights on fashion and music trends with management and HQ partners.
• Work with Store Management to prevent theft and ensure store security.
• Help maintain an organized stockroom and a tidy store environment.
• Contribute to building a passionate, collaborative team to run your store effectively.
• Perform any other activities assigned by your Store Leader.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

• At least 1 year of retail experience. A love for music and pop culture is a plus!
• Strong communication, time management, professionalism, and operational skills, with a drive to develop your team.
• A high school diploma or GED.
• The ability to navigate the store, merchandise products using approved equipment, and lift up to 50 pounds when handling merchandise.
