Description
Boone Memorial Health is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to join our team at the Comfort Clinic. In this role, you will provide essential clinical and administrative support to ensure high-quality patient care in an outpatient setting. You'll work closely with providers and fellow staff to create a welcoming and efficient healthcare experience for every patient.

Who We AreBoone Memorial Health (BMH) is a growing, rural Critical Access Health System located in Madison, West Virginia. At the core of our system is a 25-bed inpatient hospital with a 24/7 Emergency Department, designated as a Level IV Trauma Center. QualificationsRequired: - High School Diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a Medical Assistant program from a credentialed facility
Preferred: - Certified Medical Assistant
- BLS certification (or willingness to obtain-BMH provides training)
- 1+ year of experience with electronic medical records (EMR)
Key Responsibilities - Greet and assist patients in a courteous, professional manner
- Record and manage patient medical history and vital signs
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers with procedures
- Perform basic laboratory procedures, specimen collection, and EKGs
- Administer injections and medications as directed by the provider
- Schedule appointments, manage patient charts, and maintain medical records
- Maintain inventory of clinical supplies and assist in keeping the clinic clean and organized
- Provide health education and support to patients as directed

Supervisory Responsibilities Physical demands Ability to perform various motor skills such as standing or sitting for long periods of time, walking, lifting (up to 50 pounds) using proper lifting techniques, stair climbing, reaching, bending, twisting, pushing, pulling, squatting, grasping and arm-hand coordination on a continuous basis.
Travel required Required education and experience- High School Diploma and certificate from Medical Assistant program at a credentialed facility.
Preferred education and experience - BLS Certification (Preferred)
- Certified Medical Assistant (Preferred)
- EMR Service, 1 year (Preferred)
