Description:

Seeking an experienced and skilled General Foreman to join our team and lead a dedicated crew on Dominion substation projects.

Job Description:
The General Foreman will be responsible for overseeing and managing a crew of skilled workers, ensuring that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in electrical construction, with a strong background in Dominion substations being a significant advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, supervise, and motivate a crew of workers on Dominion substation construction and maintenance projects.

  • Ensure that all work is performed safely, efficiently, and according to company policies and industry regulations.

  • Plan, organize, and allocate resources effectively to meet project deadlines and specifications.

  • Monitor and track the progress of ongoing projects, making adjustments as necessary to stay on schedule.

  • Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders to provide updates and resolve any issues.

  • Conduct daily safety meetings and ensure a strong safety culture on the job site.

  • Oversee the proper use and maintenance of tools and equipment.

  • Train and mentor crew members, ensuring they are knowledgeable in all aspects of substation construction and maintenance.

  • Maintain accurate records of labor, materials, and equipment usage.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Foreman or in a leadership role in electrical construction, ideally with Dominion substation projects.

  • Strong knowledge of substation construction, electrical systems, and safety standards.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.

  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

  • OSHA certification or similar safety training is preferred.

  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working on Dominion Energy substations or similar high-voltage electrical projects.

  • Knowledge of Dominion-specific procedures and safety requirements.

  • First Aid/CPR certification is a plus.
