Job Title: Radiation Therapist Job Specialty: Radiology Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00-19:00 Guaranteed Hours: Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Florida Therapeutic Radiological Physicist license Certifications: Therapeutic Medical Physics certification through the American Board of Radiology Must-Have: Experience with Radixact tomotherapy unit and knowledge of techniques including IMRT/IGRT, SRS/SBRT, and HDR Job Description: - Provide radiation physics coverage for radiation oncology. - Work with a patient load of approximately 35 patients per day on the tomotherapy unit. - Collaborate with a team comprising 5 full-time radiation therapists, 2 full-time remote dosimetrists, 3 radiation oncologists, and 2 PRN physicists. - Support the upcoming installation of a Varian TrueBeam unit. - Utilize the GE Optima 580 RT CT Unit. - Uphold facility values by recognizing and affirming the unique and intrinsic worth of each individual. - Treat all served with compassion and kindness, acting with honesty, integrity, and fairness. - Promote a culture of trust and respect among colleagues and pledge to treat one another with loyalty, respect, and dignity.
