Weyerhaeuser Company is seeking a Storeroom Team Member for our Heaters, WV OSB facility. This is a full-time salaried, non-exempt position.
This position will provide purchasing support to the Sutton facility and work with the storeroom team, maintenance department and leadership to improve reliability and reduce cost. Responsibilities will include but not limited to safely and efficiently obtaining materials, supplies, equipment, and services from outside vendors. This role will also purchase materials and services and maintain inventory levels while looking for creative ways to reduce cost and streamline to material management process. Other activities may include daily forklift operation unloading & loading of trucks as well as goods movement, and other duties as needed.
Key Function:
- Commitment to safe work practices
- Safely source a wide variety of goods and services for the site.
- Coordinates and consults with team members and leaders regarding purchase requirements.
- Development of potential sources, evaluations of sources and negotiation with prospective vendors.
- Solicitation and evaluation of quotes, recommendations of suppliers based on established consideration of safety performance, quality, and cost.
- Purchasing, Receiving, Inventory Management including Consigned & Bulk inventories, Accounts Payable, and related financial transactions knowledge, comprehension, and experience
- Proficient in the use of computer software including Excel, SAP, parts management systems.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and timeliness.
- Ability to research products/ services and identify cost effective options.
- Customer-oriented and focused on both internal and external customers.
- Ability to prioritize large volume of work, manage multiple projects and work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Ability to service a multiple groups of customers
- Ability to prioritize work & follow up on critical issues

- Receiving parts/ materials daily, compare packing slips for accuracy, entering into database and restocking and staging materials in storeroom and mill.
- Shipping, include loading and unloading pallets or oversized materials and preparing outgoing packages/pallets
- Ability to perform the job essential functions of the position, includes lifting up to 50 lbs., stooping, bending and push/pull activities.
Qualifications - Previous Storeroom/Purchasing work experience
- Must have a minimum of an Associates Degree in Business, or other related field
- Knowledge of storeroom/inventory principles and practices
- Knowledge of basic accounting practices and principles
- Strong numerical skills with high levels of accuracy
- Understanding of business procurement agreements is helpful
- Experience in parts and alternative parts identification
- Maintenance experience helpful but not required
- Knowledge of Supply Chain Management

Compensation: This role is eligible for our annual merit-increase program, and we are targeting a salary range of $48,200 to $72,200 based on your level of skills, qualifications and experience. You will also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program, which offers a cash bonus targeting 5% of base pay. Potential plan funding may range from zero to two times that target.

Paid Time Off or Vacation: We provide eligible employees who are scheduled to work 25 hours or more per week with 3-weeks of paid vacation to use during your first year of employment. In addition, after being employed for six months, eligible employees begin to accrue vacation for future use. We also recognize eleven paid holidays per year, providing a total of 88 holiday hours.
