Job Summary
Provision of clearly defined radiology, including fluoroscopy, angiography, cineangiography, spot filming, and flat plate filming.
Responsibilities
• Operate the Generators for procedures including fluoroscopy, angiography, and cineangiography. • Operate the cardiac catheterization radiological system, providing accurate and appropriate viewing positions, for all procedures. • Operate the angiographic injector for angiography and cineangiography, maintaining aseptic technique. • Burn all CDS and operate Imaging Station to obtain images. • Maintain upkeep, including cleaning and minor repairs on the injectors, C.D. ACOM. and cine film projectors. • Serve as radiation safety person during all use of radiation in the department. Ensure that all persons present during procedures exercise radiation safety measures. Regularly test lead aprons to ensure that shielding is intact. • Maintain files of all cine film and CDs on all catherizations. Handles and records the mailing of all cine film and CDs. • Make all the pertinent cine film and CDs available weekly for cardiac cath conferences. • Effectively operate the computerized Cath Lab system and digital plot motion analyzer. • Prepare instruments and accessories using aseptic techniques. • Maintain records of all cath procedures. • Maintain basic knowledge of management and inventory system. • Participate in CCL projects approved by management. • Participate in CCL Quality Assurance. • Independently manage functionality of the Cine Room. • Cross trained as CCL scrub for diagnostic procedures or a CCL CVT.
