Position: Tax Accountant (or Manager)

Employment: Direct Hire, Full-Time

Salary Range: DOE

Work Location: Full Remote (must live in California, New York, Texas, Washington, Tennessee)

Work Hours: Mon-Fri 8AM-5PM or 9AM-6PM (Flexible)

Job Description (Not Official):

• Review tax information submitted by client for completeness; meet with clients or contact clients, if needed
• Prepare corporate and partnership returns of various complexities
• Respond to the IRS notices that may include preparation of letters
• Perform tax research
• Make adjusting entries and complete trial balances in order to prepare a tax return and financial statements
• Preparation of financial statements and related footnotes
• Perform accounting bookkeeping duties
• Perform basic accounting projects on an as needed basis
• Assist with English to Japanese document translations
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• CPA License or experience/knowledge to pass the CPA exams.
• Public Accounting experience is a must.
• Minimum 5 years of experience preparing corporate tax returns.
• Ability to use QuickBooks and other accounting software.
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally verbally and in writing.
• Ability to work within a team environment.
• Japanese/English preferred but not required.
• Experience at Japanese companies preferred but not required.
