Our preferred client is looking to direct hire Senior Network Engineer with a deep understanding of Extreme Network equipment to manage our network infrastructure. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring robust network performance and security, with a strong focus on detailed documentation and a proven track record of experience and would prefer an Enterprise Environment background. Possilbe relocation assistance is available.

• Design, implement, and maintain LAN, WAN, and WLAN using Extreme Network equipment, ensuring optimal performance and reliability
• Enforce network security and connectivity, managing Extreme Network switches, wireless controllers, and routers
• Oversee network-related projects, including upgrades and migrations, with meticulous documentation throughout all phases
• Create and maintain detailed network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and standard operating procedures
• Monitor network performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and offer high-level technical support
• Act as a mentor and technical authority within the IT department, advocating for best practices in network management and documentation

Education: Bachelor or Master Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent work experience with certifications.

• At least 7 years of experience working with Extreme Network or Cisco Network equipment and network management software
• Comprehensive knowledge of network protocols such as OSPF, BGP, MPLS, and EIGRP
• Proficiency in TCP/IP, DNS, QoS, and IPv6
• Relevant professional certifications, with a preference for those specializing in Extreme Network technologies (e.g., CCNP, CCIE)
