Paving Superintendent Richmond VA area - Exciting Opportunity!

Responsibilities:

Showcase technical proficiency in milling and paving operations.

Understand project plan details, specifications, estimates, man-hour budgets, and production rates.

Plan and organize work to optimize crew productivity, establishing comprehensive work and staffing plans for each project phase.

Communicate performance expectations for productivity, quality, and safety to crews, ensuring schedule and financial goals are met.

Supervise field managers, mentor them, and schedule manpower and equipment efficiently.

Review job costs with Project Manager and Field Managers, implementing adjustments as necessary.

Follow safety protocols, including preplanning, safety equipment use, and accident investigation.

Coordinate with Field Managers, other Superintendents, and customers for successful project plans.

Inspect construction work to ensure quality standards are met.

Manage coordination with asphalt plants, trucking dispatchers, and MOT teams for safety, profit, scheduling compliance, and customer satisfaction.

Pay Range: $110k to $130k + Benefits (Health, Dental, Vision) + Company Truck and Fuel Card!

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required; equivalent work experience considered.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 6 years of milling and paving experience with at least 2 years of Superintendent experience.
  • OSHA 30-hour certification required (or must certify/enroll in a course within 6 months of hire/promotion).
  • Valid driver's license required.
